HNK Gorica Signing Abdullah Talal Hameed Disappears

On August 9th, Croatian side HNK Gorica announced the signing of Abdullah Talal Hameed. It seemed like a fairly regular transfer: Abdullah, signed from Hungarian side ZTE Zalaegerszeg, was unveiled at the club (it was announced he would wear #99) and would travel from Hungary to Croatia. Unfortunately, this transfer has taken a twist.

Abdullah left Hungary for Croatia on Monday, but he has gone missing. His family has not received word of him, and his club hasn’t either. HNK Gorica, concerned by the lack of communication from the Iraqi forward, asked anyone with information to contact the club or the nearest police station.

They also provided information about his car — a white Porsche Taycan with Swedish plates (Abdullah was born in Iraq, but grew up in Sweden and has spent much of his career in Sweden). Reportedly, the car has been found in Hungary, but Abdullah has not.

The Budapest Police Headquarters is searching for Abdullah (Police.hu) and has described him as 171 centimeters tall with short black hair and tan skin. They also ask anyone with information to contact 06-80-555-111. Hopefully, Abdullah will be found soon.
